Softball Recap: Port Clinton Gets the Win

While Port Clinton's victory against Western Reserve wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Redskins had just enough and edged out the Roughriders 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Redskins have posted since May 8, 2025.

Jae Mazur was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 13 times she's played. Micaela Wiechman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Port Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Western Reserve, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Port Clinton beat the Roughriders by a score of 7-6 later that day.
