Baseball Recap: Twin Springs Comes Up Short

After flying high against Thomas Walker two weeks ago, Twin Springs came back down to earth. The Titans fell just short of the Castlewood Blue Devils by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 back in April.

Twin Springs has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Castlewood, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Coming up, Twin Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Lee at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Generals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.73 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Castlewood, they will challenge Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
