Basketball Recap: King Abdullah Academy Comes Up Short

King Abdullah Academy lost against Veritas Collegiate Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The King Abdullah Academy Falcons were dealt an 85-58 defeat at the hands of the Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Spartans are ranked 155th).

King Abdullah Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Veritas Collegiate Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

Looking ahead, King Abdullah Academy will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against New Hope Academy Regional at 7:30 p.m. New Hope Academy Regional knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully King Abdullah Academy likes a good challenge. As for Veritas Collegiate Academy, they will face off against Sandy Spring Friends at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Veritas Collegiate Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
