Basketball Recap: Leslie County Falls Despite Big Games from Tripp Brashear and Jesse Hoskins

Leslie County lost against Perry County Central back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Leslie County Eagles fell 61-49 to the Perry County Central Commodores.

Jesse Hoskins and Tripp Brashear certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Hoskins en route to 17 points and five boards, while Brashear posted six points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Brashear a new career-high in assists (four). Nathan Lewis was another key player, putting up six points.

Leslie County's loss dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Perry County Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-13 record this season.

Leslie County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Perry County Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hazard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Perry County Central has won four straight at home, while Hazard won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
