Ramona triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Chase Newman

Recap: Ramona Bulldogs vs. Poway Titans
The Ramona Bulldogs had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 53-44 win over Poway on Friday. The win was just what Ramona needed coming off of a 72-45 loss in their prior game.
Chase Newman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Colin Dillon was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Ramona's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Poway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.
Ramona won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on January 13th. Valley Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ramona in California (Valley Christian is ranked 219th, while Ramona is ranked 690th). As for Poway, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Mission Hills at 7:00 p.m. Mission Hills has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 482 points over their last seven games.
