Softball Recap: Twin Springs Takes a Loss

Twin Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the J.I. Burton Black Raiders. Considering the last time the Titans couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Makenzie Gillenwater spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

Twin Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for J.I. Burton, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7.

As of now, neither Twin Springs nor the Black Raiders have any future games scheduled.
