Maryville Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Anderson County on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 11-10.

Benjamin Paddock was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Zay Cunningham was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Apostolic Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past Apostolic Christian 19-9 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Flames considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Hunter Nichols and Dalton Book did most of the damage at the plate: Nichols got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four RBI and two runs, while Book went 3-for-4 with five RBI and three runs. Another player making a difference was Grant Fragasso, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Apostolic Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Apostolic Christian Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Maryville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
