Soccer Game Preview: Rantoul vs. Monticello

The Rantoul Eagles will take on the Monticello Sages at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rantoul gave up the first goal on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Bloomington 2-1.

Myesha Taylor and Eulalia Martin Domingo scored both of Rantoul's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Monticello kept a clean sheet against Olympia on Saturday. They blew past the Spartans 7-0. Considering Monticello have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Rantoul's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Monticello, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-1.
