Softball Game Preview: Agoura Chargers vs. Newbury Park Panthers

The Agoura Chargers will challenge the Newbury Park Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Agoura's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Newbury Park's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Agoura is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Thousand Oaks on Thursday. They fell 5-0 to the Lancers.

Agoura saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chaden Chatelain, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Emilia Liversidge also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Newbury Park's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Louisville on Tuesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Newbury Park's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Agoura, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
