Wright has won three straight games at home, while Sundance has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Wright Panthers will welcome the Sundance Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. Wright has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Wright is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Kaycee 61-36 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted since January 27, 2024.

Briana Meza was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Umiker, who posted 14 points and seven boards.
Wright smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Sundance hadn't done well against Hill City recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Sundance walked away with a 49-41 victory over Hill City. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 32nd in Wyoming, while the Rangers are ranked 90th in South Dakota), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wright better keep an eye on Jaylin Mills. She was instrumental in Sundance's win, putting up 23 points and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Mills has scored at least a third of Sundance's points.
Wright has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Sundance, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Wright has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Sundance struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Wright lost to Sundance at home by a decisive 44-29 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mills, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Now that Wright knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
