Football Recap: Central Catholic Piles Up the Points Against Woodland Hills

Central Catholic won the last time they faced Woodland Hills and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings breezed past the Wolverines to the tune of 58-20. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Wolverines are ranked 46th).

Central Catholic found their leader in sophomore Owen Herrick, who threw for 338 yards and three TDs while completing 75.9% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. The Vikings' leading receiver Maceo Watkins Jr. was Herrick's top target yet again, picking up 161 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Central Catholic now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Woodland Hills, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Central Catholic and Woodland Hills will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Vikings will face off against rival Mt. Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Woodland Hills is set to take on their familiar foe Penn-Trafford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
