Football Recap: South Side Skates Past Midland with Ease

South Side faced Midland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hornet simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 54-16. The result was nothing new for the Hornet, who have now won three matchups by 38 points or more so far this season.

South Side is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.5 points over those games. As for Midland, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
