Basketball Recap: Knowledge Academies Falls Despite Big Games from Travis Campbell and Sylvainus Cole Iv

Knowledge Academies was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 67-53 fall against Tennessee Heat. While losing is never fun, Knowledge Academies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Tennessee Heat is ranked 78th).

Sylvainus Cole Iv and Travis Campbell certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Cole Iv went 5 of 10 en route to 22 points, while Campbell posted 18 points and six rebounds. Campbell is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Amos, who earned five points.

Knowledge Academies' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Tennessee Heat, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Knowledge Academies is taking a road trip to take on Lighthouse Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lighthouse Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Tennessee Heat has already played their next game (against East Hickman County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
