Mount View came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Phelps Hornets as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The Golden Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Tiychiera Wray was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Malayah Barnes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Mount View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .667 or higher in four consecutive games.

Mount View's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Phelps, they dropped their record down to 2-14-1 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Mount View will venture away from home to take on River View at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Phelps, they will take on Jackson City at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
