Softball Recap: Altoona Takes a Loss

Altoona suffered their closest defeat since April 8th on Monday. They fell just short of the Somerset Spartans by a score of 4-2. The Railroaders haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Altoona's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Somerset, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Altoona will square off against rival Ellsworth at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Somerset is set to challenge their familiar foe Amery at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
