Baseball Game Preview: Sulligent Blue Devils vs. Hackleburg Panthers

The Sulligent Blue Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Hackleburg Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sulligent has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 28.

Sulligent lost 14-3 to Red Bay on Thursday.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Hackleburg and Lynn, and Lynn kept the tradition alive. The Panthers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-7), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Sulligent's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Hackleburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.

Sulligent came out on top in a nail-biter against Hackleburg in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 10-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
