Basketball Recap: Carroll Takes Down Fort Wayne Snider in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Carroll rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers with a sharp 62-42 win. The Chargers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 18th.

Paxton Crane continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 75% from the field to rack up 28 points and six rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of Carroll's success: when he posts at least 25 points the team is undefeated (and 7-15 when he doesn't). Miles Hering was another key player, putting up 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Wayne Snider lost, don't look at Xavier Wilson. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-15 en route to 21 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Layne Patterson, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Carroll's record is now 10-15. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they moved to 14-10 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
