Soccer Game Preview: Bethesda Christian vs. South Vermillion

The Bethesda Christian Patriots will take on the South Vermillion Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Bethesda Christian's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bethesda Christian fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Indianapolis Shortridge on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell in a 2-1 heartbreaker to the Blue Devils.

Meanwhile, South Vermillion fell victim to Southmont and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Mounties, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, South Vermillion can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Southmont are ranked 124th).

South Vermillion's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Bethesda Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
