Basketball Recap: Graceville Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Graceville walked away with it. They secured a 59-54 W over the Chipley Tigers on Wednesday. For Graceville, this counts as revenge for the 53-41 victory Chipley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

It was another big night for Bryson Reynolds, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Jaylin Washington, who posted nine points and eight boards.

Graceville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

Graceville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Chipley, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
