Baseball Game Preview: Grove City Christian Eagles vs. Millersport Lakers

Grove City Christian and Millersport are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Lakers at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Grove City Christian's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Grove City Christian came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Circleville, falling 11-1.

Grove City Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadunn Harris, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Harris has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Meanwhile, Millersport lost 11-1 to Bishop Rosecrans on Wednesday. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Millersport's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Grove City Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Grove City Christian took their victory against Millersport when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
