Basketball Recap: Tucker County Falls Short of Greenbrier West in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Tucker County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 74-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenbrier West Cavaliers on Sunday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (59), the Mountain Lions still had to take the loss.

With the defeat, Tucker County broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points over those games. As for Greenbrier West, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

While Tucker County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.
