Volleyball Recap: Eagle Ridge Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Eagle Ridge Academy lost against The Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Eagle Ridge Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made The Academy work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 27-25, 16-25, 25-20.

Allie Steffens paced Eagle Ridge Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Steffens got some help from Vivian Campagna and her 24 assists. Sylvia Campagna controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Honor Montoya, who had eight digs and three aces. Montoya has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Joliana Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Eagle Ridge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for The Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

Eagle Ridge Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Banning Lewis Academy on the 25th. As for The Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Denver Christian on the 28th.
