Ramapo extended their postseason success on Friday against Northern Highlands. They slipped by the Highlanders 28-27. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Casey Grusser produced another solid effort rushing for 137 yards on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 passes. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 73 yards. Liam Hayward was in the mix too, providing Ramapo with two scores.

Northern Highlands' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joe Dougherty, who rushed for 144 yards and two TDs. Chase Calarco also helped out as he racked up 140 rushing yards.

Ramapo's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Northern Highlands, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Ramapo is taking a road trip to face off against Phillipsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Stateliners have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. Northern Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
