With a playoff win on the line, Killingly rose to the challenge on Monday. They blew past the Ledyard Colonels 44-15. Considering the Trailbazers have won 11 matchups by more than 27 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Hayden Allard, who rushed for 229 yards and four scores on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Sumner, who punched in two rushing scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Killingly was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 157 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.

Killingly's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Ledyard, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Killingly will face off against Hand on Saturday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Trailbazers surely won't give up without a fight. Ledyard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
