Flag Football Game Preview: Lakewood Tigers vs. Denver North Vikings

The Lakewood Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Denver North Vikings at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lakewood's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Saturday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Lakewood after they put the first points on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 27-7 to Golden. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Tigers struggled afterwards.

Lakewood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Saylor Slaughter, Caroline Bane, and Laney Gonzales picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Denver North was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 14-8 to George Washington.

Denver North's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Lakewood, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
