Basketball Recap: Newcastle Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Newcastle can now relate to. They took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Neches Tigers on Friday.

Newcastle's defeat dropped their record down to 25-10. As for Neches, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Newcastle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Neches, they will challenge Broaddus on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Broaddus sitting on 13 straight victories and Neches on four.
