Recap: Calhoun City Wildcats vs. Bruce Trojans
The Calhoun City Wildcats put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bruce 74-43 at home. The result was nothing new for Calhoun City, who have now won six contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Despite the loss, Bruce still got an impressive performance from Ankavious Glass, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Calhoun City's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27 points. As for Bruce, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhoun City won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Okolona at 7:00 p.m. on December 9th. Okolona will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Calhoun City is ranked 42nd). As for Bruce, they will be playing at home against South Pontotoc at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
