Basketball Recap: Pembroke Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Pembroke needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Peyton Liss. The Pembroke Dragons blew past the Holley Hawks 51-27 on Friday thanks in part to Liss, who went 8 of 13 on her way to 19 points along with five boards and three steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Jayden Hootman, who posted six points and three steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Pembroke now has a winning record of 7-6.

Pembroke has already played their next match (against Kendall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Holley will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pembroke at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th.
