Basketball Recap: Three Lakes/Phelps Starts Season with Win Against Mellen

Three Lakes/Phelps gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 58-9 victory over the Mellen Granite Diggers.

Looking ahead, Three Lakes/Phelps will head out on the road to challenge Northland Pines on Tuesday. As for Mellen, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northwood at 5:45 p.m. on December 2.
