Football Recap: Grainger Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Grainger Grizzlies lost 42-20 to the Unicoi County Blue Devils on Friday. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blaze Rice produced another solid performance rushing for 241 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.1 yards per carry for Unicoi County. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Rice a new career-high. Avery Hatcher was in the mix too, providing Unicoi County with two TDs.

Grainger's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Unicoi County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Grainger will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Greeneville on the 24th. As for Unicoi County, they will face off against Claiborne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
