Softball Recap: Frankenmuth's Undefeated Season over After Nine Games

Frankenmuth has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.44 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The match marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Frankenmuth fell to 8-1. As for Utica Ford, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frankenmuth will host Alma at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.6 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Utica Ford, they will face off against Utica Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
