Football Recap: Norton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Norton's offense. They had to suffer through a 55-0 loss at the hands of the Phillipsburg Panthers. The defeat leaves the Bluejays still looking for their first win of the season.

Hadyn Rice threw for 58 yards on five of 17 attempts. On the ground, Tyler Backman rushed for 110 yards.

Phillipsburg's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaid Schwenn, who rushed for 98 yards and one TD. Another back making a difference was Tanner Horinek, who rushed for 60 yards and one touchdown.

Norton's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Phillipsburg, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Norton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 36-6 defeat against Concordia on the 24th. As for Phillipsburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 66-7 win against Minneapolis on the 23rd.
