Volleyball Recap: Seminole Ridge Takes a Loss

Seminole Ridge came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Palm Beach Central Broncos. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While Seminole Ridge ultimately came up short, they really made Palm Beach Central work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21, 25-18.

Abi Chin Lee paced Seminole Ridge's offense, picking up nine kills. Chin Lee got some help from Ivanna Sierra and her nine assists. Chin Lee was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lily Hutchinson was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 assists and five digs. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six contests.

Seminole Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Palm Beach Central, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Seminole Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Royal Palm Beach on the 8th. As for Palm Beach Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Dr. Joaquin Garcia on the 6th.
