Recap: Anthem Prep Eagles vs. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators
The Anthem Prep Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 40 points or more this season. They blew past North Phoenix Preparatory Academy 65-23 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Anthem Prep.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Anthem Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Titus Franklin, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Rithik Kolli, who scored 14 points.
Anthem Prep pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anthem Prep will face off against Desert Heights Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Desert Heights Prep is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mayer at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
