Basketball Recap: King Abdullah Academy Comes Up Short

King Abdullah Academy lost against Randolph-Macon Academy two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The matchup between the King Abdullah Academy Falcons and the Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets didn't end well, with the King Abdullah Academy Falcons falling 67-51. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 132nd).

Noah Negussie continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Randolph-Macon Academy, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of David Kayeye, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 boards.

King Abdullah Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-16. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Randolph-Macon Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

King Abdullah Academy will be playing at home against Fredericksburg Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. King Abdullah Academy is facing Fredericksburg Academy at the right time seeing as Fredericksburg Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Randolph-Macon Academy has already played their next game, a 65-25 win against Massanutten Military Academy on the 5th.
