Baseball Recap: Wray Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wray came out on top against Highland on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Eagles took their matchup against the Huskies 7-2. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three games in a row.

Gabe Kecther was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only one earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brodie Riggleman, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. Carson Helling was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Wray's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Highland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wray beat the Huskies by a score of 21-4 later that day.
