Football Recap: Lampasas Takes a Loss

Lampasas suffered their biggest defeat since November 29, 2024 on Friday. They were outmatched by the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees and fell 49-7. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Badgers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

When it comes to explaining why Lampasas lost, don't look at Jaden McElwain. Despite the final result, he picked up 132 receiving yards and one TD. McElwain showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 62 yards.

Lampasas' record is now 7-2. As for Stephenville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Lampasas didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-16 victory against Marble Falls on the 31st. As for Stephenville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 49-0 win against Brownwood on the 31st.
