Soccer Game Preview: Cooper City vs. South Plantation

The Cooper City Cowboys are taking a road trip to challenge the South Plantation Paladins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cooper City's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Cooper City came up short against Cypress Bay on Wednesday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 380th, while the Lightning are ranked 92nd).

Meanwhile, South Plantation's matchup on Friday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They blew past West Broward 3-0. That's two games straight that the Paladins have won by exactly three goals.

South Plantation is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five games. As for Cooper City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-2.
