Pontotoc has gone 9-1 against Shannon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pontotoc made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Tupelo, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warriors fell just short of the Golden Wave by a score of 28-25 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since January 21st.

Meanwhile, Shannon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 59-55 to Aberdeen on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Pontotoc didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Shannon in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 60-55 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Red Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
