Recap: Brunswick Pirates vs. Richmond Hill Wildcats
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lowndes, the Brunswick Pirates were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They secured a 52-48 W over Richmond Hill. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Brunswick also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Brunswick's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shania Jones led the charge by scoring 18 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Jones is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Walker, who scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 steals.
Brunswick's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Richmond Hill, they bumped their record down to 5-2 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Glynn Academy the next time they take the court. Brunswick will head out to face Glynn Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Richmond Hill will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
