Basketball Recap: Tupelo Christian Prep Victorious

After losing to Potts Camp the last time they met, Tupelo Christian Prep decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles walked away with a 79-71 victory over the Cardinals on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Potts Camp's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Brownlee, who posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Nelson, who had 18 points.

Tupelo Christian Prep now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Potts Camp, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tupelo Christian Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Okolona at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Potts Camp, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Byers at 7:00 p.m.
