They had to suffer through an 81-25 loss at the hands of Denver Christian. The Mustangs have struggled against the Thunder recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Liberty Tree Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past Manzanola, posting a 73-35 win.

Liberty Tree Academy's win came from a few key players Addenbrooke Classical Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaleb Mendez, who went 11-for-18 on his way to 24 points and seven rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jaydence Smith, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine assists.

Liberty Tree Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games dating back to last season.
