Softball Recap: Griggsville-Perry Victorious

Griggsville-Perry hadn't done well against Brown County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tornadoes walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Hornets. The Tornadoes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

The win made it two in a row for Griggsville-Perry and bumps their season record up to 2-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Brown County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Griggsville-Perry is set to face off against their familiar foe Carrollton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for the Tornadoes: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while the Hawks have snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road. Meanwhile, Brown County will take on rival Greenfield/Northwestern at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
