Football Game Preview: Mesa Ridge Grizzlies vs. Palmer Ridge Bears

The Mesa Ridge Grizzlies will face off against the Palmer Ridge Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Mesa Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past Loveland to the tune of 54-22. The win was familiar territory for the Grizzlies, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Palmer Ridge against Liberty two weeks ago as the squad secured a 58-7 victory. The team accrued 56 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.

Mesa Ridge better keep an eye on Cole Harris. He was instrumental in Palmer Ridge's win, rushing for 33 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 83 yards and three TDs. The dominant performance also gave Harris a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Palmer Ridge also got help from Zak Crisler, who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.

Palmer Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Derek Zertuche and Brody Elliott.

Mesa Ridge now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Palmer Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Mesa Ridge took a serious blow against Palmer Ridge in their previous matchup back in September, falling 35-7. Can the Grizzlies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
