Volleyball Recap: River Ridge Takes a Loss

River Ridge lost against Lakes back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawks lost 3-0 to the Lancers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-6.

Elira Blanchard had an outrageously good game for Lakes as she had 17 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Blanchard has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jeny Solomua, who hit 88.9% for eight kills and 38 assists and five digs.

River Ridge's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

River Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Capital on the 23rd. As for Lakes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Timberline on the 23rd.
