After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elk Valley Christian, Greater Beckley Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Summers County Bobcats. The game was the first time the Crusaders have beaten the Bobcats on their field since May 15, 2023.

Isaiah Lewis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lewis was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Eli Gunter was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kaden Bolen, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The win got Greater Beckley Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Summers County, they dropped their record down to 1-3-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Greater Beckley Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 18-10 loss against Tygarts Valley on the 29th. As for Summers County, they have also already played their next game, an 11-1 victory against Braxton County on the 29th.
