Baseball Game Preview: Zanesville Blue Devils vs. Morgan Raiders

For the second straight game, Zanesville will face off against Morgan. The Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Zanesville will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Zanesville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They had just enough and edged out Morgan 14-13. The game was the first time the Blue Devils have beaten the Raiders on their field since April 20, 2019.

For Morgan's part, Casen Foley stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. Aaron Baker was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Morgan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season. As for Zanesville, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.
