Volleyball Recap: Manchester Red Hawks vs. Glastonbury Guardians

Manchester lost against Glastonbury back in October of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Hawks lost 3-0 to the Guardians. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Manchester was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Glastonbury's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-9, 25-13.

Glastonbury can attribute much of their success to Leah Mosca, who had five aces and four digs. Mosca is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Lexi Marques also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Glastonbury, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Coming up, Manchester will head out on the road to face off against South Windsor at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Glastonbury, they will be playing at home against Woodstock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
