Football Recap: Redding Christian Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Redding Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They breezed past the Durham Trojans to the tune of 40-0. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 40-20 loss the last time these two teams met.

Wyatt Shaw was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 164 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Micah Skinner was Shaw's top target, picking up 27 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Redding Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Skinner and Garrett Webb. Skinner got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Redding Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-6 victory against Biggs on the 5th. As for Durham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 42-6 win against Trinity on the 5th.
