Basketball Recap: Oakwood Academy Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Oakwood Academy Mustangs ended up a good deal behind the Spring Garden Panthers and lost 60-41. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Panthers are ranked tenth).

Oakwood Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season. As for Spring Garden, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 32-1.

While Oakwood Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
